Science live - articulating the aims and ethos of science event practitioners in the USA and UK

Where the Science Live report was mostly an overview of the meetings that occurred, this paper spearheaded by Dr. Fogg-Rogers is a much more in-depth study of what that means to the field and how we quantify the needs of the practitioners in a research framework. It's again been interesting to revisit this in light of the pandemic, and as a researcher myself now, it begs the question of how much different these conversations would be if they happened today. If we put practitioners, researchers, and supporters in a room together and asked them the same questions and gave them the same prompts, what definitions might arise around what makes a science event, and what do we as a sector need to do to survive and improve in the future.
